The biggest news in my life is that I’m recovering from eye surgery.
Last Sunday was my birthday. After my right eye started bleeding I spent several hours in two emergency rooms.
To make a long story short, I had a cyst in my right eye. Diagnosing the problem took a specialist because most doctors don’t understand what the eye behind a prosthetic (fake) eye looks like.
The cyst was removed yesterday. The doctor doesn’t believe the cyst is cancerous, but it is being biopsied. I should know in about a week whether or not I have cancer.
While I wait, I am restricted from doing more than simple walking; the doctor is afraid exertion could cause the stitches to pop.
So, it’s going to be a quiet weekend for me. At least the expected nice weather will enable me to sit outside and enjoy some sun.
