Die Again is the eleventh book in Tess Gerritsen’s Rizzoli & Isles series. I have read and enjoyed each of the first eleven books in the series, but Die Again was one of my favorite.
Milly and her boyfriend Richard leave London for an African safari. Although she doesn’t want to go, Milly has an idea going may be the only way to save her relationship.
Once in Africa, the tourists come to realize the most dangerous predator to them is in their group. When it appears all of the other tourists have ben killed, Milly escapes into the wilderness.
Six years later, taxidermist Leon Gott is found murdered and gutted in his Boston home. Medical Examiner Maura Isles believes Gott’s murder is not an isolated incident.
When Dr. Isles and Detective Rizzoli convince Milly to leave the safety of her secluded home in South Africa, the killer has everyone where he needs them.
Die Again kept me guessing and waiting. At one point, I was sure I knew who had done the killings. When I was wrong, I was really glad I had read Die Again.
Sadly, I only have one more book in the Rizzoli & Isles series. I will miss Jane and Maura when the series is done.
