My Thoughts
As I said in my review of Eyes of Prey, Michael Bekker is one of the most evil characters I have read. Couple his pure evil with his intelligence and Bekker is a real monster. I appreciate the way John Sandford takes the readers into such a deranged mind.
As I always say, Lucas Davenport is not my favorite character. I’m sticking with the series because I do appreciate Davenport’s ability to solve terrible crimes. I even appreciate his willigness to do what needs to be done to solve the crime. That’s true even if I think he sometimes goes too far.
The part of the plot addressing the investigation into bad cops who are murdering people they believe society doesn’t need adds an extra element of intrigue to Silent Prey. The way Sanford brings the plots together makes the book that much more interesting.
If you enjoy murder mysteries, you will Enjoy Silent Prey.
