Supporting Bernie Sanders in both 2016 and 2020 looks more foolish by the day. I am truly ashamed by the amount of money I gave him, the time I donated to his campaigns, and worst of all the hope I had in him.

Forcing People Downtown is Racist
Across America, politicians are doing, as they always have, representing their wealthy donors at the expense of workers, people of color, people with disabilities, and anyone not wealthy. But the so-called return to work movement is not just the usual ableism, classism, and racism we have come to expect from politicians. It’s also the related… Continue reading Forcing People Downtown is Racist
Voting Feels Empty Now
I wrote a similar post prior to the 2020 election describing how disappointed I have become with American politics. I just finished my ballot for this year’s election, and filling it out left me feeling more disconnected than I felt from politics in 2020.

All of the tributes, somber, statements, and moments of silence… Continue reading Coronavirus Should Matter More Than September 11
Our Suffering is Their Choice
I’m writing this post after reading that America is sending another $675 million in weapons to Ukraine. Over the last six months, America has given Ukraine billions of dollars. At the same time, Jackson, MS has no clean running water. Millions of Americans throughout the West are being told to reduce energy use during a… Continue reading Our Suffering is Their Choice
Reviewing Turning Point 911 and the War on Terror
Turning Point 911 and the War on Terror is a documentary about some of the ways 911 changed America and its government. While the documentary does a good job walking viewers through the lies, wasted money, lack of integrity, and many of the failings that resulted in America spending 20 years in Afghanistan only to… Continue reading Reviewing Turning Point 911 and the War on Terror
